I'm looking for any history on Thomas S Moore. He married Lizzie Runnels (native american-grandmother was Skocum Analix) in the 1860s. He had two sons...Thaddeus and George. Thaddeus married Clara Hughes (dau of Bill Hughes and Mary Wilson) of the San Poil band.

Any info would be appreciated.

There were MOOREs living around Elmer City as late as mid 1960's. My Dad went to high school with a Martha Moore (class of 1953);she had 2 sisters whose names I don't know. Runnels are a large family who still live at Omak. If this sounds close I will try ask who Martha's parents were.

Thankyou for your reply. I have found out a little more about George from my family. The George I'm related to has quite an interesting background. I guess his mother who is now deceased was white, and his father, native american. He had a sister named Josephine who is possibly still alive. I read in a newspaper article from way back that George was covicted of murder and spent many years in prison. I also read that he drank himself to death. My great aunt told me that she has seen the gravesite of George and that he is buried next to his mother possibly? This is on the Nespelem reservation I believe. The only other thing that I can tell you is that he was not married to my grandmother when she became pregnant with my dad. She later married another man, and we were told that this man was my biological grandfather. It wasn't until recently after my grandmother died and this other man died that family members came foward and told us that George Runnels was really my biological grandfather. I'm just trying to find out information on my heritage, since I do not know what it is on that side of the family now. I've never met anyone in that family, but my great-aunt tells me I look like George's sister Josephine. If you have any info that you can send me, pics, anything, I'd appreciate it so much. I don't know how else to find out anything since I don't know anyone from that family. :) thankyou
