My mother's maiden name was Muniz. She was born in Mayaguez, PR, and raised in Yauco. She later married and came to New York,and became Arroyo.

My father was Angel R. Muniz. He was born in Mayaguez, PR in 1919. His mother was Elena Rivera (died 1958 in NYC). Angel came to New York in 1947. He died in Florida in 1999.
We are curious about living or deceased relatives. He said that he had a sister and she lived in CA.

Regarding my brother Joseph's earlier posting... I can also add that the only known relative of our father's was his
half-sister, Judy. She would have been born some time after 1919. We do know that she had a son.

By chance do you have a Maria Delores Muniz who married Carlos Arteaga on your side of the Cuban family? They lived in Puerto Prince, Camaguey Cuba. I can't find any information on the Muniz family in Cuba so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the Muniz I am looking for would have been in Puerto Principe, Camaguey, Cuba in the early-to-mid 1700's. I have no information on Delores Muniz's parents and hoped perhaps we could connect this family name in Cuba.
