Looking for dates of death for these two individuals who were married in 1855 in Kampen, Overijssel. Also seeking information (dates of birth, marriage and death) for their ancestors and children.

The 1855 marriage record (21 Jun 1855, nr. 36) gives the names of the parents:
Hendrik Post and Dirkjen Knol for the groom
Hendrik van Bruggen and Geesje Westera for the bride.

If you type in these names in http://www.genlias.nl, you'll find that van Bruggen and Westera were married on 15 Aug 1833 in Kampen (marriage record nr. 48). The dates and places of their birth, and the names of their parents are listed.

The same goes for the Post-Knol marriage, on 2 Nov 1821 in Zwollerkerspel, marriage record nr. 24.

Using http://www.genver.nl, you can look up the actual marriage records. Be sure to also look up the annexes (huwelijkse bijlagen) since they usually contain much additional information, like the births of the bride and groom and the deaths of their parents, if applicable.

Other births and deaths can also be found using http://www.genver.nl, click on "Overijssel" (Kampen and Zwollerkerspel are in that province), then e.g. Kampen.

Indexes are found in the files called "index BS" (index civil registry) or "tienjarige tafel" (10-year table).

Am still looking for date of death for Jan Post, husband of aaltje van Bruggen. Have all the other imfo for other sibs and ancestors. Cannot find on genlias.nl and am not being very successful using the other overijssel sites as they are in Dutch. Pleast help

Not all is in Dutch. Here's the English version of the GenLias site (http://www.genlias.nl/en/page0.jsp) and the records can be browsed at Familysearch.org (https://www.familysearch.org/search/image/show#uri=https%3A/...).

But the records will be in Dutch, of course. :-)

Using the GenLias site, searching both for "Jan Post" and for "Aaltje Bruggen", I got 10 hits, starting with their marriage in Kampen, 21 Jun 1855, and ending with the death of their son Derk in Zwolle on 31 Mar 1938.

If you take the last marriage in that list, e.g., that of their son Derk in Heerde, 30 Apr 1904 (nr. 19), and look it up (using http://www.genver.nl/gl/0246.htm), you'll find the document here: https://www.familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-159390-618460....

The record states that Derk is a widower, of the late Willempje van der Stege, and a son of the late Jan Post and the late Aaltje van Bruggen. So Jan and Aaltje died before 1904.

The annexes (huwelijkse bijlagen) to this record should (but not always do) contain a copy of the death record of the parents. Using the same index (http://www.genver.nl/gl/0246.htm) I found the following records: https://www.familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-16364-18321-1....

It starts with Derks birth, the second page is a legal document with no genealogical information, nr. 3 is a copy of the death record of Derks first wife, followed by a legal document with no genealogical information, nr. 6 is a document about the birth of the bride, and then it stops: no information about Jan Post!

The following record in Genlias was the marriage of son Jacob, Zwollerkerspel 26 Mar 1896 (nr. 14). The record (https://www.familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-11324-28347-4...) states that Jan was living in IJsselmuiden and that Aaltje was deceased. So Jan died between 1896 and 1904, and Aaltje died before 1896.

The first document, about Jacob's military service (https://www.familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-15353-17412-7...), states that he had to do service (a number of young men was selected each year, using a kind of lottery system). But he did not do it, he found (paid) another young lad to do it for him.

The document also says that Jan was living in IJsselmuiden in 1883, and that Aaltje had died in Kampen before that time.

So now we suspect that Jan died in IJsselmuiden, between 1896 and 1904. Using http://www.genver.nl/, then http://www.genver.nl/indexov.htm, then http://www.genver.nl/ov/0191.htm, and then going to the index of the civil registry (Burgerlijke Stand, BS) I found a reference to Jan Post: https://www.familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-19079-4509-46....

Then looking up the record (https://www.familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-19239-77951-6...) confirmed that it was him. It reads

Jan Post, 78 years old, no profession, born in Kampen, living in IJsselmuiden, son of the late Hendrik Post and the late Dirkjen Knol, husband of Willemina van Weeghel, has died on 6 May 1902 in the house in IJsselmuiden known as quarter 1, nr. 87.
