He was born 1841 in Walhalla SC
Any advice on how to find out more about HIS ancestry?

Wow! Thanks, guess I need to learn how to use these tools - going to see if I can go back further.

When I saw the info that got lost when my father passed away, I realized I better get on the ball to preserve info for my own grandkids!

Contact Chuck Davis at this email address, he is what I consider the SC Davis expert. Not sure who William Milton's father was but we could be related.

Apparently James Davis [est 1813] and Rebecca Davis [est 1819] are his parents from the first post but William moved to GA in the late 1800s. I know the family after that in Cobb County and have visited his grave and others often as a child.

I think the Davis line was very healthy and proflific with all the Davis' in the South we must all have some relationship. I know in my family 11-12 kids was pretty much the norm and they were living long even back then.
