Surnames: Tesarik
I have a Tesarik family that lists this Vilmuze, Austria as home in 1845. They were also have Bohemian listed as native tongue. Does anyone know where Vilmuze was located or where it is now? Any help appreciated.

I am not seeing anything remotely close to Vlimuze spelling.

How sure are you of the spelling? What document is the spelling from?

This came from her obituary:
Elizabeth Jachimstal, a resident of city and the county of Manitowoc for nearly 72 years, died at her home here at 12:15 o'clock this morning at the advanced age of 83 years seven months. Death was due to infirmities attendant upon advancing age. Born in Vlimuze, Austria, on September 2, 1845, she came to this country with her parents on September 28, 1857,

Her father was John Tesarik.(1845-1929) I have been trying to find where they came from in Europe for Years. The censuses all state Bohemia and I know they spoke Bohemian. The intention and Naturalzation papers for John just lists Bohemia and he renounced his allegiance to the Emperor of Austria. These papers also say they arrived on September in 1845 into New York. I have not found the passenger list. I have also found mention that John Tesarik may have been her step brother.

This obituary was the first time I have seen anything other than Bohemia. I have found no church records in the US. Not sure if they were affiliated with any church.

Thanks for the help.

You're welcome.

Bummer on not being able to locate an arrival manifest as it might have a place of birth or last residence.
We do know that your research will be in historical region Bohemia but without have a correct spelling of her place of birth, unless others can figure out what it might be, your research is at a standstill.

None of their children were baptised in a church? Were any of her siblings more in America?

Maybe you should try Leo BACA's 9 volumes Bohemians to America.

Don't get yours hopes up but I found a JACHIMSTALOVA [female] in Decin's phone book.
http://seznam.1188.cz/s?q=jachimstalova She is one and only in CZ's phone book.

You say that John was born in 1845 and also arrived in 1845.
Is this correct?

You say that Elizabeth was born on Sep. 2, 1845 and you say her father John was born 1845 and died 1929.
I this correct?

I don't find any Aust/Boh's that arrived on Sept 28, 1857.
I also don't find them in the Baca books.
Maybe try Vilemov or Vilemov.

Birds of a feather fly together. They both were from Austria.

The historical regin Bohemia and Moravia are now Czech Republic.

Don't get yours hopes up but I found a JACHIMSTALOVA [female] in Decin's phone book.
http://seznam.1188.cz/s?q=jachimstalova She is one and only in CZ's phone book. Not sure if you saw this since you did not reply to my post but maybe just maybe this Vlimuze/Vilmuze could be around the town of Decin, or not.
Most likely the Vlimuze/Vilmuze was written the way it sounded to an English speaking clerk.

She was Elizabeth Elizabeth.
The children's church baptismal does not provide you with another spelling of this location? Family went to family so any other surname in the family tree? Neither of the ancestors was naturalized citizen? This Manitowoc, WI had to have had a large Bohemian population.
