Lately I've been looking at a lot of census records online at Ancestry.com and this is what I have found:

Peter Fiveash b. 15 Oct. 1828 in GA, probably in Tattnall county, however, could not find any Fiveash families on the 1830 or 1820 censuses on the above mentioned website. (Does anyone else have this info?)

Peter married Catherine Margaret Dame(b. 1830) 26 Feb 1852 in either Tattnall county, or Montgomery county. Catherine's family lived for a time in Montgomery county.

Catherine's parents are George Dame and Catherine Carter.

Peter's father I believe is James Fiveash and mother is Jane Hughes for the following reasons -

a. James and Jane were married in Tattnall county 4 Jan 1827 and Peter was born 15 Oct. 1828. James and Jane also have 3 other sons, names unknown to me at this time, and 2 daughters also names unknown.
b. Both James and Jane are born in NC.
c. On the 1880 Peter states both his parents are from NC.
d. Peter and Catherine name their first two sons, George and James.

Peter and Catherine Margaret's children are:

1. Lillian Lurania b. 3 April 1853 married Neil McGill, 13 Sept 1874 - they have 10 children

2. Lousanza b. 1854

3. George Bryant b. 1855 (after her father) married Elizabeth L. their children are:
--William H. b. 1887 d. Jan 1971 Selma, Alabama, and Walter D. b. 1879 (Anyone have others?)
--William H. married Mary b. 16 March 1894 d. April 1977 in Selma Alabama--4 children may still be living so I'm not posting them as they are born 1917 thru 1927

4. James W. (after his father, my ancestor) b. 1857 married Rebecca McGill about 1878. 1880 they are living with her mother and her stepfather in Pinetuckey, Laurens county, GA. Probably due to Reconstruction in GA.
--Child is:: Peter Lee Fiveash b. 2 Aug 1883 (my great granddad) Peter married Lillie Abigail Headley (b. 10 Nov 1893) about 1908. Peter and Lillie lived in Prattville, Alabama. Have not as yet found sibling info for Peter. Their daughter Rebecca Lee b. 1912, d. 7 Feb 1979, is my grandmother.

5. Mary Jane b. 1858

6. William Henry (Sonny) b. Aug 1860 married Margaret Isabell Matthews b. Sept 1865 (This family moved to Bassfield Mississippi) They had 10 children.

7. Charity Fiveash b. 1866 married W.A.R. Wilkes in 1890

8. Zion Elmore b. 24 Jan 1868 married Emma R. b. 18 Oct. 1892 d. 17 Feb. 1974. They had 8 children. Have names.

9. Leander G. b. 1868

10. Ailey (Alley) B. b. 1870

11. Peter O. b. abt 1874

12. Charles D. b. 1875

13. Vandem b. 1876

Does anyone else have James Fiveash and Jane Hughes? Is James one of the sons of John Fiveash RS and Jane Turner or is he the son of someone else? Would love to hear from my Fiveash cousins.
