I am looking for a picture of the
Eilenberger Bakery in Republic which was owned by Robert and Marie
Eilenberger from 1900 to, at least, 1920, according to the census. I was excited to finally trace Robert to Republic as we had always heard that a brother emigrated to the US with my great grandfather in 1881 and then went to
Washington but, until the last month, it was simply a rumor. Thanks to ancestry.com I have finally found it was true and traced him to Republic. Unfortunately for me, Robert and Marie had no children so no long lost cousins to be found. My grandfather and father also owned an Eilenberger's Bakery in Palestine,
Texas, at about the same time. It would be wonderful to have pictures of both bakeries. I would appreciate any help you could give me on where to find historical pictures of Republic. Thank you, Deta
