I am looking for the family of James Vincent Wright who was born about 1871 in Sligo. He married Frances Mabel O'Callaghan and they lived in Strabane. James immigrated to New York in 1922 aged 52 and Frances followed with children in 1923. Any info on his parents or siblings would be greatly appreciated.

His occupation is shown as 'Constable R.I.C' - i.e. police, and the couple are living in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Place of birth for James is given as Sligo ...

Have you found them on the Irish 1911 census ?

That should show number of years married which would help search for a marriage for them. A cert would show useful clues - such as occupations, residences for the bride & groom and father's names..

here are James and Francisca on the 1911 return in Wexford town - states they are married 9 years - which based on the information given on the 1901 return is incorrect...

some additional clues.... the 1930 Federal census shows James and family living next to a brother named Denis born c1880, as mentioned in the Ellis Island record. It also states that James and Frances were aged 30 and 20 respectively when they married - so c1900/1901

haven't located any possible marriage on the BMD Index yet...

There's a possible match for the family of James & Denis in the extracted records on FamilySearch - years of birth are close -

Denis Wright / 19 May 1879 / Leaffory, Co. Sligo
