I too am looking for Mcgees' of Halifax co,NC. My gggrandfather was Henry,b 1790. He had several children that were listed on the 185o F/C census.Benjamin,Henry,Elizabeth,John,William,Jessie,Margaret(my ggrandmother) and Rebecca. They were of african -american descent. Iam also researching this line of the McGee's. My greatgrandmother was a McGee from one of Reddin McGee marriages. I am try to find the linking point to the Enfield families also. I will exchange infomation with you. I am a Evans by birth and my family is in the Hollister, Enfield and Warren Counties areas.
