Family Tree Maker 2 sync problems

I am on version 21.2.3.453 and have within the last few days had sync issues with ancestry. It worked fine and then suddenly stopped.
I add a person to my tree and then sync it with ancestry, and it says it is synced up but then when I go to ancestry. The person I entered is not there.
If I go back to a previous version I will loose all my information, and I really don't want to have to do that.
Can anyone advise me what should I do?

Do you compact your file BEFORE you use the Sync feature?
How did you access your Ancestry Member Tree?
When you did the Sync, did you wait until the Media Complete was seen in the Plan Workspace?

yes I did compact the file before syncing
i have a separate window and when the tree was synced I just refreshed the ancestry page on the internet.
The last sync I tried doing, did not have any media attached.

Please go to your AMT from the Plan Workspace, as there is a link there AFTER the Sync is complete, including Media Complete. See if that makes a difference.
