Anyone have any idea where this is? Or even if it is still a rural area? Is Cuba Road still there?
A man was hanged here on a post oak tree.
It is from a newspaper article from Sept 29, 1888.
It states that the man was taken about 1/2 north of Steelville on the Cuba Road and hanged from a post oak tree limb.

I would guess that is present day
Highway
19 that runs north from Steelville to Cuba, MO. Cuba is about 6 miles north of Steelville
