I am still seeking information, be it hearsay or otherwise on the O'Shell family, who lived off of the Ponders Gap Road. I am the granddaughter of Martha and Louis, who are buried in the Kelsey Cemetary. I have been well supplied with ancestry of Martha Easter O'Shell by other members of the family still residing in Tennessee. I am still searching for a clue to to where in Ireland the O'Shell family originated. I am also very interested in the Galyon Family as Martha's mother was a Sarah "Sallie"? Galyon before her marriage to Andrew :Houston Easter. I would dearly love to know more of my family as I grew up totally removed from them in California and now live in Alaska. This is important to myself, my children, granchildren and now my first great grandson. If there is any one in Roane County or elsewhere who can give me a clue, I thank you.

My great grandmother was "Aunt Sis" (Sally?) Easter, born app. 1870 in Roane County? and married Bob Wyrick. They lived in South Roane County and Rhea County. I believe she was a sister to your Martha. If you can send me the info you have on Martha O'Shell, I could probably collabrate it. I know she had some Parkers, O'Shells, Easters and Galyons in her line. Please respond. I am trying to find more information on the Wyricks of this line.

I would like any information on James Parker and Elizabeth Lane who resided in Roane County, TN. Their son, Josiah Parker, who married Nancy Gallion, moved to Madison County, Arkansas along with other Roane County families.

The O'Shell surname doesn't exist in Ireland. It exists solely in the US. You need to search your ancestors records to determine their nationality and where they originated.
