George Guntz
STARKE - George W. Guntz, 79, of Starke died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Lake City following a brief illness.
Born in Baltimore, Mr. Guntz moved to Florida in 1989, and moved from Union County to Starke in 1996. He was a retired airplane mechanic and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Guntz is survived by: four daughters, Linda L. Harrell of Starke, Doris West of Pueblo, Colo., Dorothy Guntz of Baltimore and Marcy McKenzie of Laurel, Md; a son LeRoy Myers of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister Laura L. Cradit of Martindale, Texas; 18 granchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Isabella M. Deaver Guntz.
Memorial services will be held Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the memorial service at the funeral home.
