Hello there,
I need a Obit Look up for a William Ward Lewis, born about 1841, in Illinois. Married to Anna Crawford, dob 3/04/1847,. They had seven boys, Joesph Walter, Roy Edgar, Harry Elmer, Charles C., Alfred John, Willim Albert, Joshua Robert. That is all the information I can find on William Ward Lewis. Have been searching for months, and I know he lived in Shasta County from about 1877, and died their somewhere before 1900.

Greetings,
So, how do you know he died in Shasta Co.? I checked Janie's online death records for Shasta Co. (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~shastaca/d...) and didn't find William Ward Lewis. Bottom line is, I need a death date before I can do an obit look-up.

His last son was Joshua Robert Homer Lewis, born Oct. 21, 1888 in Bella Vista, Ca per his WWI registration draft card. On the Shasta County gen web page I located a cousin connection link where it listed William and his family. All it stated was born about 1841 in Illinois, ans died before 1900. I am assuming he died in Shasta County, due to the fact his Wife, Anna Crawford, was buried their, and raised the rest of their sons there. I have no other leads. I wish there was another option. I have tried every thing to locate William Ward Lewis.
