They adopted a daughter Marcia (aka Mary Juzwisyn)

Re: JAMIESON, Mitchell & Pearl (nee) LOSS
I have found Marcia's (aka mary juzwisyn) listed in the 1916 census with her birth family in the Marquette, Manitoba area.
Marcia / Mary, who is my mother, passed away in 2002, was not forthcoming on details regarding her adoptive or birth family. We rarely, if ever met her side of the family. We were visited once by her brother Frank and I believe a sister Tilley? I have made a connection with Frank's granddaughter.
We did not know my mother's proper birth name until after her death and we were going through her papers.
She never provided a date for when the adoption occurred. She did tell us a story that her father had an artificial leg. I did see a Mitchell Jamieson in the Canada Census from austria but resident in BC that looks promising. But at the time of the census, there is no wife.
She always told us she was adopted. Mitchell and Pearl appear on her birth certificate as parents.
I will check the 1911 census for more details. Thanks for that.

after more investigation I believe that my mother's birth parents changed their names vs my mother being adopted out.
Somewhere between their arrival in the early 1900's and March 1916 they choose to use these more anglo sounding names on birth certificates, at least for my Mom. My mother's sister Teckla a.k.a. Tillie also adopted the "Jamieson" last name. The son Frank did not. He retained the birth name of Juzwiszyn and settled in the Okanagon.
Mitchell / Mike died at Gilbert Plains in 1935. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.
