Can anyone give me any inforamtion on the Big Wheels resort or Bar. I know that my grandmother owned it at one time but she sold it. I remember chipping ice blocks for the drinks when I was very young

Are you talking about the Big Wheel restaurant in Shingletown? Not sure what's going on with it lately, but several years ago it burned down; was rebuilt, then burned down again, right before it was supposed to re-open. I don't get by there much, so am not sure of the status, whether they're rebuilding again or not.

yes. I have not been to shingletown since early 1970's and my grand mother did not own it then but she did in the early 1960's are there any pictures around of it from those early years or a history of the restaurant?

I don't know about pics - you could try the Shasta Co. Historical Society -- http://www.shastahistorical.org/ -- they have a searchable database of photos.
