I am looking on information on a Mary Ballantyne, born c1845 in Selkirk. Her father was William but I am unsure of her mother's name, it may be Margaret Howie or Hay. Mary had an illegitimate daughter in 1871 in Galashiels and on her daughter's birth certificate, her ususal residence was listed as Greenfoot, Selkirk. Does anyone have access to the 1851 or 1861 census for Selkirk as the family may be listed
