I have a family tree that goes back to Thomas
and Abigail. However, when I try to search the net to conect my great great grandfather to his father the conection isn't clear.My grandfather was Jesse Olcott, his father was
Frank Olcott, his father was Carlos Olcott.
Carlos Olcott's father, as far as I know was
Raswell Olcott of Marengo, Ill. His father
was James,Jr. of Bolton, Ct.,James of Herrienton, Ct., Deacon Timothy of Bolton,
Thomas Olcott, Jr. 1635 born,Bolton, Thomas
Olcott, 1609 born England.

I also am working on the Olcott line. it very hard to fine anybody researching them . I have several Olcott Books I can look up names for you but most the books information stops around 1860's . I am looking for Ezekiel Olcott , his son George Washington Olcott was my great grandfather. He died during the civil war. Maybe we can exchange information .

My great grandfather was WIlliam Ransom Olcott
he died in the Civil War at Salisburg, NC in prison.
I think his father may have been John but don't
have confiramtion of that don't know what his mothers
name was - has anyone made any connections??? Also
a cousin supposedly made a connection with Calhoun
but thats unconfirmed too.

I wish I could figure out how to contact you directly as I am trying to trace this same line. My grandmother was Agnes Liona Anderson Wright. Her mother was Florence Helen Olcott Anderson. Her father was Carlos Olcott, b. abt.1831. His father was Rosewell Olcott, b.6/28/1789 in NY. Thats as far back as I go. The only sibling I have for Carlos is Nellie.

I have a limited knowledge on the Olcott line as I am a descendant of Daniel and Sarah (____) Kimball. The wife of Carlos Olcott (son of Rosewell and Lydia (Russell) Olcott) was Malvina Amanda Kimball, daughter of Levi and Hettie (Chatfield) Kimball and the granddaughter of Daniel and Sarah (____) Kimball.

I am searching for information on Carlos Olcott who was my mothers Grandfather. She was an Anderson. The name Hillard also interests me since this name has been passed down on my husbands family for years. The Inmans orginated in South Carolina.

I don't think you told me previously that your mother was an Anderson. What is her ancestry. My maternal grandmother was an Anderson also and her grandfather was Carlos.

Jack, my mothers maiden name was Gladys Helen Anderson. She was the daughter of Roy Anderson and Shirley Morehouse. There is a mistake on Roy's dob-I believe it is 1886 instead of 1896. Sharon

I believe that Carlos also had a sister Acta who was the daughter of Lydia and Roswell Olcott. Acta was married to David Fenton who I know spent five years in Cal in 1850. I have the name of Davids and Acta children. I am looking for David and his brothers ZL,Zalmon,John and Mary. Any info on them?
