I'm looking to tie my family tree to England. I'm told that Abraham Cann who was born in 1726 in either Bristol England or Port Rush Ireland moved to Doylston Pennsylvania and died in 1773 (in Newark NJ I believe.) He had a son John who fought in the American Revolution. (But as a resident of Newark

tree that starts in Mass in early 1900s to
various provinces in Canada dating back to
early early to mid 1700s. Eventually, all
lines lead to England.

the earliest name/dat I have for now is William Cann abt 1614 Bristol Glouster,England >M> abt 1639 to Margret Yeamans Birth 1616, Bristol Engalnd their son John Cann 1636/1639 bristol Glouster England>M> jul-30-1661 to Esther Reade may 8,1641 Weymouth, Br Of Boston Ma Death July 11,1719 Taunton, Bristol Mass.>> their son John Cann 1662 Boston, suffolk, Ma. and the line decends trough out the Essex Mass County and Yarmouth Yarmouth NS , I hope this helps you some. If I can help let me know , arelative of mine has taken this family history back to oooo AD somtime, I haven't got all info yet, but she is willing to fill me in as others have helped me I'd like to do the same.

My ancestors lived in Leicester. I can only trace them to 1850. My great-grandparents John Smart and Clara Cann were 30 yrs. at the time of the 1881 census. Hope to hear from you again.

I hope you have found www.familysearch.org helpful. I have seen the names John Smart and Clara Cann I can't quite remember where as soon as I do I'll let you know, In the meantime have you found any more Info??
