I have no information regarding the Czepiela family's genealogy from the Slaskie region.

I live in England, about 20 miles from Manchester. My grandparents came to the UK after World War II, and I have long been fascinated by my roots. If there is anything anyone could tell me about the Jagielka family I would be very interested to know. I understand it is a very rare surname. How many of us are there? My grandfather Joseph Matuszek was born in southern Poland, under Austrian rule in 1889..He came to America around 1910, to stay with family in Chicago. He had a sister named Helen, and at least one relative in Chicago area. He married Mary Soltys who was also from Poland.

What year do you have for that Matuszek. We are searching for any info, anywhere. We know he had an older sister Helen, m. Straczyk. We don't know of any other siblings or parents. He came from the Zakopane area, although it was considered Austria. He was born 5-25- 1889. Please keep us informed if anything seems to match up. Thanks

My earliest known Matuszek ancestors also originated in presently southern Poland; near Rudy by Raciborz, Poland.

I have been researching my paternal grandmother's roots and have run across your requests. It is probably not very relative to your info but there could be ties. My grandmother's name was Katarzyna Matuszek. Her parents were John Matuzsek and Mary Ann Rydzik. She was born 17 November 1888. The only origin information I have been able to gather was that she was born in Austria-Poland. She emigrated to the U.S. in 1903 and resided in the Philadelphia, Pa area. I have hit nothing but roadblocks in my research. Any help you could provide would be beneficial.

My name is Debbie Krucelyak Chambers and I am researching the Grucelak family from Leluchow, Nowy Sacz, Poland. My ancestors immigrated to Anita, Jefferson County, PA in the 1890s and changed the name to Krucelyak. My great-grandfather, Stefanus Grucelak, had a sister named Helena Grucelak who married a Piotra Matwijczak on Nov. 22, 1894. Helena and Piotr Matwijczak were supposed to have remained in Poland, although I have no further information on them.
