I am researching the WILLS family in Barbados. Henry Christopher Arnold Wills born 11/1876, his son Henry Randolph Wills born 8/10/1898 both came to America and lived on Long Island, NY. They are my husband's ancesters. We will be visiting Barbados this fall and would like to do research.

I found out from some research that my Great Grandfather James Walter Wills was ex-communicated from the family and all family business because of his marraige to Blanche Matilda Ianthe Mapp. Not sure what the exact nature of the problem was, but understood she was mixed and a spinster so she had no dowery. Frowned upon for an English man to marry like that.. Sad but true. My Great Great was Richard J. Wills who was married to Sarah Ann Galls (or Gall). Now my understanding is that my great grandfather was given a hard time in Barbados because of his marraige. They moved with all the children to Trinidad. I am having a hard time finding James Walter siblings and grandfather. I am thinking it is because of the family pride thing and how stern Richard J. was. Let me know if you have a link. I'm writing in reference to a photo that was posted on my family tree account. The picture was of my father--Eduardo Carlos Perera(his parents are Eduardo Perera & Grace Patricia "PAT" Beeks.) They lived in Belize but have now all passed away. I'm not sure how we may be related but any information you can share would be greatly appreciated. I have an older brother named James M.
