Hello, Cousins - Please confirm Betsy as daughter of Thomas Goforth of Jessamine Co. HVS apparently missed her, but he does have Alexander Zike married to Betsy Tripp. He has only Lydia and Sarah as daughters of Thomas. And how does Woolsey come in? Was Betsy married twice - maybe three times? Just lookin' for answers. Questions I have in plenty.

I am trying to find parents and siblings of Emaline Goforth, Jessamine County, married Erastus Bruner, B: 1850. I do not know date of birth of Emaline but suspect that she married Erastus in 1890s.Emaline and Erastus are my g-grandparents, but little is known of Emaline. Willing to share Bruner info if needed. Any help appreciated.

Bob--according to my notes taken from LDS microfilm on Jessamine Co marriage records, Betsy Goforth m. Washington Woolsey 16 July 1819. Thomas is listed as surety, also father of Betsy.

I am not sure if this is the same line but Alfurs Goforth was my Great Grand Father who lived in Jessamine Co. Ky
He married Annie Grimes and lived near the Kentucky River.
His father was (possibly) David Goforth and then Thomas came into play somewhere
The 1850 census ( I beleive ) has the record of an Emeline or Eveline ( can't make out spelling ).
I'm sorry that I can't remember many details but I have them written down; however, I have just moved and many things are still in boxes.

This is very interesting and worth pursuing. Thomas was in Jessamine Co. by 1800, and quite a few associated families did go to IN and IL.

William Goforth along with William Goforth Jr, Preston,
John, & Hugh Goforth are all shown on a pitition in
Sevier County, TN in 1799. By 1830 all but Hugh had
disapeared from records. It is believed that all but Hugh went to
KY and on to IN and or IL...Any Info ?

THOMAS GOFORTH information would be appreciated as we are descendants of ZIKE from Jessamine Cty KY and have Thomas' daughters Sarah m ZIKE, Lydia m ZIKE. Sarah stayed in KY, Lydia went to IL then Iowa.
Betsey GOFORTH whom Washington Woolsey is unknown to us as far as where she went. Mary Jane m Corman also unknown to us.
