I can check them out for you on Sunday, but if they never married, what kind of information are you looking for?

Thank you Judy. I look forward to it and very much appreciate your time.
I've never been asked why I'd want a single person's obituary before.
Information I'd want to know: -Did they die at home or some other place? -How did they die? Old age? A particular disease? Et al . -Were there any surviving siblings? Surviving nieces and nephews? If so, where did they (surviving relatives)live at the time of these ladies' deaths and what were their names. -I'd want to know about their careers and/or their accomplishments in life. -What funeral home was utilized and where were they buried? -Perhaps there's a mention of what church, if any, that they were members of.
Whether they recv'd. one line of mention re. their death or several paragraphs, I'm interested.
Thanks again.

Registration of Death - can be helpful -with some of the questions you have. Depending on requirements of the time - and knowledge of the informant.
Place of Death: Time at Place of Death In Province, In Canada Name and Address Date and Place of Birth. Marital Status. Name of Spouse. Occupation. Industry. Time at Occuapation. Last worked Names of Parents inclduding maiden name of the mother. if known to informant Name and address of Informant. Relationship to deceased Date of Death. CAUSE of Death. Burial or Cremation. Name and Address of Funeral Home, Cemetery. Physician. Some Obituaries are helpful others just basic - some may not show cause of death etc - May show names and locations of other family members at the time. Cheers, Stella

For some of those answers I will have to look at the death certificates which would be some time next week.

Hi Judy,
Am most grateful to you for these two obituaries! Great work! Which newspaper(s) were they in or was this information from their death certificates?
Kathleen

The Vancouver death would be the Vancouver Sun, the Victoria death would be the Times Colonist.
