Has anyone ever heard of a cemetery in Bayville [near Toms River] known as Old Yae or Old Yard Cemetery? Perhaps is has a different name? Not sure of the spelling. Is there a transcription of this cem. if it still exists?

Thank-you for your response, it's appreciated. Would there be any chance that you have other info regarding this plot and those who may have been buried in this cemetery. I would be interested in perhaps his wife or other family members as I have no other names for this family.

ok this is what i found/ fyi there are two cemeteries next to each other the front one is called Dover Chapel cemetery(many years ago for a short time Dover Chapel was actually the name of Bayville) it was also the name of the Non Denominational institution that once sat near the existing Methodist Church. The Dover Chapel was open to anyone who wished to travel through and preach, from whatever denomination. That said The Dover Chapel Cemetery was active in the 1800s, prior to that , there were a variety of family cemeteries. The Cemetery behind it is the Bayville Cemetery with graves from early 1900s til present..

what year are your abigail and william? about??? have you checked good luck in lanoka harbor(cedar creek) many from bayville were related to families in cedar creek. these towns were very small in the 1800s, so everyone was related in some way. I found quite a few of my bayville families down there , but it does depend on the time frame you are talking about
