Re: Axel HJORTH b. 1896, DK farmer later miner
Thank you very much, Stella
however, I already have the registrations that you mention. Apparantly, my only chance to get any further is to order a copy of the death certificate of Karen Hjorth, who was the longest living, and thereby learn about informants, if any. I can order per ordinary mail (filled in form and a check - not visa)addressed to Vital Statistics Agency ... BR Hanne

Thanks Mike, but I already have this info, but apparantly I have to order a copy of Karens death certificate - I have the registration - to find out about any informants, if any.

Hi, You do not have to order the Registration of Death for Karen HJORTH -from Vital Statistics
The Filmed Registration can be viewed at NO COST at the provincial Archive in Victoria BC - Some Public & University Libraries in the Province.
Information can be Transcribed - COPIES can be made for .50 cents or less - depending on copy machine.
Also at some LDS Family History Centres
OBITUARY: may show names and locations of family members.

Re: Axel HJORTH b. 1896, DK farmer later miner HJORTH, Janet -
Hi, The Archive online will only show the index. Not the full registration.
If you are prepared to wait - [ at present I am a 2 hr each way] public transit ride - away from the Library. I should be able to get into town - and the Library - hopefully one day this week. I can also check to see if there was an Obituary published as well.
Otherwise - your cost from the Vital Statistics Dept - will be VERY Expensive . for something that will be 0 cost for transcript - or .50 cents Canadian for a photo copy.
Cheers, Stella

Hi Stella! That would be absolutely wonderful - and a breakthrough, and certainly I am prepared to wait. I don't know how to thank you ..! Two hours' ride is somewhat time consuming! But I am so so thrilled with a view to obtaining this information. Please tell me how I can return your generous favour.
Very best regards Hanne
