Looking for information about the individuals listed in the following obit. It was in a newspaper in Fairfield Co, SC dated July 12, 1893.

"Mr. John W. Robinson died at the home of his nephew Mr. R. C. Martin, in Star City, Arkansas on May 14, 1893, of swamp fever at 71. He was born in Fairfield County, S.C. on December 21, 1822. He moved to Lincoln County, Arkansas after the war. He was a Confederate Veteran, was twice married and leaves only one son."

I believe R. C. Martin was Robert and that John Robinson's son was named Thomas. In 1880 John, wife Martha, and Thomas J. (age 20) were in Lone Pine.

Thanks for any information.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I had seen the 1870 census and have been trying to figure out who everyone was who is listed there. Several families from Fairfield Co. SC appear to have moved to that area of Arkansas. The Robinson family is extremely difficult to figure out. But I'm trying!
