Hi there,
I came across a Bun an Charnáin, 'Buncarnon' in Lettermore Galway. It seems to be a small townland which is part of An Trá Bháin, (Trawbawn)in Ceantar na nOilean (Lettermore Island district).

If you look 'Trawbawn', you'll see it's on the South East side of the Gorumna Island (one of the larger ones).

All the best, mandy

Hi there,
Me again,
I should have written 'Bunnacarnon', in 'Trawbaun'. the anglicisations tend to vary.
