Jessie Florence Hooper was born December 22, 1893 in Hazelton, KS to Robert and Nancy DeArmond Lusher and passed away Saturday, December 16, 1989 in the Sayre Memorial Hospital.
Florence moved with her parents to Oklahoma Territory in 1898, attending school at the Dog Holler School in the Red Moon community. On December 22, 1915 she was married to Orren Bailey Hooper in Cheyenne. They moved to Reydon around 1937, living there until moving to Cheyenne in 1961 where they made their home. At the time of her death Mrs. Hooper resided at the Twon Hall Estates in Sayre.
She had been a member of the Church of Christ for a number of years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband in 1968; 1 son, Orren B. Jr., in 1937; 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
Survivors include 2 sons, Payne Hooper of Burkburnett, TX, Parvin Hooper and his wife, Lenora of Perryton, TX; 3 sisters, Ruth Cantrell, Woodward, Okla., Roberta Ridgeway, Higgens, TX, Alice Wilson of Elk City, Okla.; 1 brother, David Wilson of Ft. Supply, Okla.; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Mondya, Dec. 18, 1989 at 2 p.m. in the cheyenne Church of Christ with Willard Dox officiating. Interment followed in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.

I would like to find out more information about Nancy Armond who married Robert Lusher(first marriage) and then Nancy Armond (lusher)Wilson. I am related to all family member names consisting of Lusher, HOOPER , CANTRELL, Wilson, HICKS, RIDGWAY on down to siblings of each family member such as Joann/Jack Powers of CO, PAYNE HOOPER, PARVIN HOOPER, At least five + generations of our family. I am also looking for Earl and Maude HICKS backgrounds i.e. marriages/births or deaths. Their chilren (daughter Mabel Mae HICKS, and sons, James and Glen HICKS. I know that most of the families are in CA, CO, KS, TX, OK and Minnie Lusher(married name starts with "S" in another state. I don't know if you can help me or not. My name is Maria and I was born Feb 18.1965 In Buffalo, NY. My birth Certificate read Babygirl Lusher. I was put up for adoption, and told that my mother had been married with 2 children and was from Pennsylvania. She was separated and her husband had custody of her other 2 children, She had gone to stay with a Friend in Buffalo, NY and somehow became pregnant with me. Thus she stayed there and gave me up for adoption. Do you have any information on any possible Lusher's that may have been in the Pennsylvania area during the early 60's that may have been separated with children?? All I would like out of this is to maybe see a PIC of someone who I might look like, and maybe get a medical history so I know what I could be possibly passing down to my own 4 children. As a single mother Medical backgrounds are very important to me.
