Can anyone tell me where I can find information on a cemetery in Tilden Illinois where Joseph Henry Kleinberg and his wife Flossie (nee Hill) Kleinberg are buried? Joseph died in 1973 and Flossie died in 1991. Flossie is from the Tilden, Il area.

thanks for your help

If you have already found the cemetery, I hope you were successful. If not, the Tilden cemetery is located at the east edge of town along route 13. The village hall can help find the location of gravesites. If you are unable to get to Tilden, I live 5 minutes from and grew up in Tilden, although these names do not sound familiar.

Do you happen to know Flossie's parents names?
What pages I have on Tilden cemetery looks like they were done by Ada Torrens and stop with a few 1950 burials.
Not sure if it has been updated since then?
I don't see any Kleinberg's listed.
Hill's listed are as follows:Josiah (no dates given),Minnie I. 1882-1935
Chris R. b.2-11-1907 Olive- wife of Chris b.8-26-1908 d.1-16-1932
Delilah b.1-8-1846 d.1-7-1904 Elbert Lee 1910-1941
Chris C. b.4-28-1866 d.3-7-1950
I have no connection to this family

Good evening,

Flossie's parents are Christopher C. Hill & Eliza Belle Thompson.

Flossie was born 17 Apr 1901 & died 18 Aug 1991 in Riverside, CA and buried at the Tilden Cemetery. Her husband, Joe Kleinbeg was born 24 Mar 1899 & died 19 Jan 1973, he is also buried at the Tilden Cemetery. They were married in 1947.

We did locate the cemetery, it is a very pretty cemetery and also found where Joe & Flossie are buried. We are descendants of the Kleinberg's. Joe would have been my husband's uncle. The Kleinbergs are from the St. Louis area, so this may be why you don't have any listed. They didn't have any children and apparently lived in California.

Thank you for responding to my e-mail

I noticed your message to another person regarding Tilden Cemetery. I have a request if possible. I'm trying to locate these people that I believe are buried in Tilden Cemetery.

Myrtle Terry, d. 1912
Mary Emma Terry, date of death unknown
Ruth Adeline Terry, date of death unknown

If you still have availability to the records for Tilden Cemetery, would you mind very much looking these up for me? I live out of state and is very difficult for me to get back to that area to do the research myself.

Thank you,
Carrie in NC

Hi Carrie,

I don't live in Illinois either, but I was lucky enough to get in touch with the family that takes care of the Tilden Cemetery.

Please e-mail me at kdkleinberg@yahoo.com and I will give you her phone number.

She was very helpful and we were able to go to the cemetery and find my husband's great-uncle & wife.
