I am seeking info on the family of John and Mary McNeill of Columbus County. John McNeill was born circa 1774 and died in Columbus County in Jan 1850. Mary --- McNeill was born circa 1785 and was in the 1850 Census for Columbus County.
John and Mary McNeill had at least three children. All were born in Robeson County. Malcom McNeill was born 1800,
Jane McNeill was born 1806 and married Ezekiel Little Sr. of Brunswick County, and Nancy McNeill born 1811 who married Charles Jones. Charles Jones Married as his second wife Lou Anne Sibbitt.

I am looking for an Isabel McNeill Suggs. Isabel was born 25 Nov.1857 in Whiteville,Columbus Co.NC. According to her death certificate,her father's name was Malcom and Mother was Martha ?(no maiden name listed). Isabel married David Suggs circa 1885,probably in Whiteville,since all of their children were born there.I would appreciate any information on this family.Isabel and David were my father's,Freeman Suggs, grandparents. I am researching the Canady line and I believe your Nancy McNeill fits in. Out of the union of Charles and Nancy did they have a daughter named Flora or Florrie? If so, do you have any dates of B/D. I have that my Flora/Florrie Jones married ALL. Canady on 2-8-1883. This is the only info I have of her. I believe that she died before 1919 because ALL Canady married Martha Simmons that year. Also, would you happen to have a Penina/Peniney Jones in your line, born somewhere in the time frame of 1830ish? Thank you for your time.

Indeed Charles Jones/Nancy McNeill did have a daughter Flora A. Jones, born c 1848 who married ALL. Canady. I don't have a date for her, but that is the correct Flora Jones.

I am descended from Flora's sister, Leana.
