Hi im doing a Family Tree and i need some confirmation on the Hardings. In 1881 i have an Ellen Green, in Basildon, Berks. And a few Children.
The Husband is not on there, and do not know what his name is. Does anyone have Parish registers for the area. One of the Children is George Robert Harding aged 6 (1881)says Born in basildon.
At a guess i got Edward Harding, who married Ellem Maria Taplin 1874, but thats guessing.
Any help would be great

A fairly safe guess about Ellen marrying Edward Harding since on the 1881 census she is living with William Taplin as his married daughter.
In 1891 census she is a widow so the only way to confirm the name absolutely would be to get one of the childrens birth certificates.

looks like i might have too. Trying to find a death in between years, and i couldnt find him in 1881, maybe he was in army or something.

Edward Harding (b.1854) married 1874 Ellen Taplin (b.1848)
Only record of Edward Harding death I can find to fit in with correct age is 1890 in the district of Marylebone.

1901 census:
George Hutchins (Head)
Ellen Harding (Wife) couldn't find marriage record
George Robert 25 yrs
Bertram 21 yrs
William James 19 yrs
Lily 15 yrs
Walter John 11 yrs

William James married my grandmother in 1921 (Phoebe Marianne Furnell) she lost her first husband in WW1.
William & Phoebe lived in Ashampstead - he died 1947.
They had one son, William John Furnell Harding.
