I am looking for William Alexander BLACK. He was born 19 May 1867 at Kirkhill, Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire, the illegitimate son of William BLACK of Gartly and Jane MCKENZIE of Kennethmont. He was living in Strathdon with his maternal grandmother at the time of the 1871 census, and boarding in Kennethmont with his younger sister in 1881. By 1891, he turns up in Ayr at Daisybank Cottage, with the MILLER family. This is what is recorded:

1891 UK Census, Ayr, Daisybank Cottage
MILLER, Robert, head, married, age 50, outfitter, employer of 4, born Ochiltree [?] Ayrshire, 8 rooms with 1 or more windows
MILLER, Ellen, wife, age 49, born Ochiltree Ayrshire
MILLER, Jessie, daughter, age 25, born St. Fenrose Ayrshire
MILLER, Hannah, daughter, age 19, Shop Assistant (Outfitter), born St. Fenrose Ayrshire
MILLER, Edward, son, age 15, Shop Assistant (Grocer), born St. Fenrose Ayrshire
MILLER, Maggie, daughter, age 9, scholar, born St. Fenrose Ayrshire
MILLER, Rodger, son, age 8, scholar, born St. Fenrose Ayrshire
MILLER, Ellen J., daughter, age 6, scholar, born St. Fenrose Ayrshire
BLACK, William A., Boarder, age 23, Clothier's Assistant, born Kennethmont Aberdeenshire
STEWART, David, Visitor, age 37, Clothier's Assistant, born Logesait [?] Perthshire, speaks Gaelic & English

Does anyone have any information on what William did after 1891? Did he marry and live in Ayr or hop on a boat and wind up someplace else?
