Hi Anita, I'm seeking info regarding whether my Davis family is on the census in Shelby County. I'm having such a hard time finding anything at all about the entire family online. Can you please check to see if Charley Willaim Davis Sr. and wife Littie B. Davis are on the 1930 census with their children?

There alot of Davis's in Shelby County for 1930;
and so many variations of Charley.
The only Littie I found was
with a Ashley Davis, and had her listed as
his wife.

Were their any children still at home???

Littie Gilbert Davis' obit (1954) listed 2 daughters as Mrs. E. A. Freels and Mrs. I. R. Tucker of Memphis. There were also four sons listed in the obit: C. W. Jr., Jack W., Clarence Richard, and E.P. Davis. Her husband C.W. (Charley) Sr. is listed as dying in 1937. I don't know who all were living at home at any point in time, however, I know that Clarence Richard was born in 1922 so he should be on the 1930 census. I also know that Charley and Littie were married Oct 9, 1901 in Shelby County. Hope this helps,

Hi I am wanting to find the obit for Harry Kinney he died in Memphis , 26 Jun 1955.
I have been trying to get down there myself but havent been able to get out of Illinois. I would like a copy of it if you are able to locate it, or any other info you can find on him, I do not know where he is buried at either that would be great.

Hi Anita, I am looking for a date of death for Mary Frances "Fannie" (Hooper) McCaig supposedly died in Shelby County, TN, in 1931. Also supposedly buried at Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church Cemetery on Pleasant Ridge Road in Arlington, Shelby Co, TN. Haven't been able to find info on either the date or cemetery thru the Shelby County Library website. Any guidance greatly appreciated! Thank you.
