Seeking other descendants of my g-g-g grandfather Johann Anton PIETSCHMANN, born 28 June 1783 in Tomasov (Thomasdorf by Nixdorf) and baptized at St. Mikulase Katolische Kirche, Mikulasovice, Bohemia. His father was Johann Jacob PITSCHMANN, and his mother was born Anna Maria HESSE. They married in 1776. They lived at Thomasdorf Nr. 2

His siblings were Johann Jacob, Maria Theresia, Johann Florian, Johann Franz.

About 1800 the family moved to Bad Frankenhausen, Thuringia and became Lutheran

I believe I wrote to her several years ago when we were "introduced" by an American friend. She is a widow who married into the Pietschmann family and knows little about them. She referred me to a brother-in-law who lives in Germany, but he did not answer.

Send him another letter with family information and a photo of your ancestor if possible. He might have not received a letter or if the letter was in English and he only knows German, well he might have put a letter aside and forgot about it.

Not sure if this would be helpful to anyone researching this family name.

As a young girl I knew some children of a large single Pietschmann family in Madoc (Bannockburn) Ontario, Canada in the late 1980-early 2000's. Perhaps a distant relative?
