I am a 4g-grandson of James and Elizabeth Ripley Graham. I am descended from Gabriel, Jacob, Mary E. (Williams), Faye Williams, Dorothy Eslocker. I have a fair amount of information about the Athens County, Ohio Grahams. I would be interested in exchanging information with you.

Hi Jack - I know we're connected! That's exciting for me because only until recently were we aware of the ohio connections. It comes through James P. Graham born 1800/05 in Meigs co. and Cynthia Hughes born 1800/10 in Va. This family scattered early (late 1850's a daughter and husband went to Iowa). I'm finding more female desendants than males here in wva. Should be an interesting exchange!

Please contact me: Bells-family@msn.com
Would you make the subject - Ohio Graham's? I'll recognize that. Thank you for responding.
Donna

Hi Debbie - Hope you still have this e-mail address. I desend through the youngest son James P. Graham born 1800/05 Meigs co. He married in Va to Cynthia Hughes. Apparently the notification network wasn't working to let me know of your reply and I'm sorry to say that apparently from the date of your reply, have not visited for some time. Please forgive this terrible error on my part. Contact me direct: bells-family@msn.com. Thank you so much for responding. Donna

Sorry to say that I am searching for similar information. My husband and I have been working on his family. We know that he descended from Warren Josephus Cook and Clarrissa Wood. We can find a bit of information on the Wood side, but nothing on the Cook side. Any help on either side would be very welcome.

Hi, Debbie,

I know this response is a long time in coming, but I can help you with info on James GRAHAM and his wives. Wife 1 Elizabeth RIPLEY is my ancestor and w2 is Elizabeth LASLEY BLACK (Mrs John BLACK, widow.)

Even if you already have the info you seek, if you are related to me through James GRAHAM, I would be delighted to hear from you. I enjoy making contact with all family descendants.

Also, James GRAHAM was the soldier whose Revolutionary War service I used for membership in the NSDAR - National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. I have a great deal of info on James and his descendants.

I hope you will respond. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, Donna,

I am interested in the ancestors and descendants of James GRAHAM and w1 Elizabeth RIPLEY. as well as, w2 Elizabeth LASLEY BLACK (Mrs. John BLACK, widow.) I descend from James and Elizabeth RIPLEY through their son, John and wife Nancy "Mary" MURPHY.

I am very interested in knowing more about the James P. GRAHAM, b 1800/05, whom you mention below in your post from 02 Aug 2005 to Jack. I have listed your comments below. How is James P. GRAHAM connected to James GRAHAM and Elizabeth RIPLEY? I have all of the children of James and his 2 wives. All of their children remained in OH except for my ancestor, John GRAHAM, who went to VA, now WV, by 1811, where he mar. Some of John's descendant moved to IA, but mostly early in the 1830s.

Who are the female descendants that you are finding in WV? I have found a few GRAHAM cousins in the Charleston area.

It is great to have found yet another GRAHAM cousin.

I looke forward to your response. Thanks for your interest.

By the way I liked the GRAHAM BELL name.

Ellen
