Need info-Harry & Noni Matchner and/or The Tap at Big Bar CA 1960's

Camped in the campground and worked nearby during the early 60's. Harry & Noni were in the process of selling their bar and cafe to a young man from Southern CA.
Just this week came by but all is changed and I would like to locate pictures of their business with the old gas pump and service station in front of bar.
As near as I can tell this is now the Trinity River Adventures business and the present owners have no knowledge of the origins.

Harry and Noni are both buried in Kingman AR but I remember them as vibrant and active people.

Any help and/or photos would certainly be appreciated.
I will acknowledge all replies.

Thank you

Thank you, Bob

I was in Weaverville Wednesday as we returned to Portland.
Could only spend a short time there but did talk to folks at the Museum. After much prompting they provided me with some folders of local history to look through but there was only token mention of Big Bar/Big Flat.

The folks were very nice and we all sat around and chatted but no one remembered anything of substance.

I notice you have made some obit queries. Are you from that area?

I spent several fine years in the Shasta/Trinity area during the 60's and hold each day and place and many of the people quite dear but somehow some of the days, placees, and faces defy recollection. ;-(

Thank you very much for your reply and information

Jim....

I'm not from the Trinity area, but since my ggrandfather started the Hughes family there, I am quite interested in the area. I'm a life member of the Trinity County Historical Society and the Weaverville Cemetery Association. When ever I can break free from the Bay Area, I go up and look through the records.

Right now I am doing requests for Alameda County where I work at the Superior Court.

Jim,
Could you please tell me what you know of Harry and Nona Matchner. Harry was my father's uncle. I know that Harry and Nona have died and are buried in Arizona.

I volunteer at the History Center and Museum and wasn't able to find any info or pictures for than name. I will look again this week in the court house items and see what I can find. I looked all thro the Big Bar items and couldn't find any info on "The Tap" Could it have been called something different before they bought it. We have info on older places. Sorry I couldn't help anymore.
