I'm looking for anyone related to James COULTER or his brother John who moved from Duanesburgh, Schenectady, NY to Niagara Co., NY. James was b: 23 NOV 1795. He married "Polly" STICKLES, who had a son named James before she married James COULTER. I am descended from their daughter, Lydia Ann COULTER b:11 NOV 1829 Duanesburgh, NY, who married Walter SHAW of Newfane, Niagara, NY. She had brothers and sisters: Alexander, Jeanette - who married Jacob BIXLER, John - married Mary "Jennie" MANN, Catherine, Nancy, Eleanor,Mary and Delia (Adelia).
These two COULTER brothers were living in Newfane, Niagara, NY. James was living there when he died. I don't know about John.

My COULTER family is no connection, at least over here. Ours settled in NY state, coming from Scotland. The first immigrant was Alexander COULTER, who married Jennette (Janette) LIDDLE. They were married in Roxburghshire, Scotland. They ended up in Duanesburgh, Schenectady Co., NY by 1795.
I don't see any connection. I imagine you looked at Janet's info and website listed on her reply to my query on the messageboard.
