Six Persons Drown on Week-End Holiday
Kennewick Couple Victims of Yakima River When Boat Sinks
Kennewick Wash., July 7
Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Leader of Yakima lost their lives today in the Yakima River while crossing there with their two sons to an island where the boys were working.
The accident was caused by a leaky boat, which suddenly filled with water.

Yakima Resident Drowned When Boat Upsets in Columbia
Yakima, WA., July 20
Messages received here today from the coroner at Boardman, Or., Roy Leader of Yakima, who drowned July 7 in the Columbia River at Kennewick when a rowboat containing Leader, his wife and two sons filled and sank.
The body will be brought here for burial.
