CSVCHECK error message

I tried to check a census piece (saved as a .csv file) using CSVCHECK and got the following error message

"!!!Serious Error!!!

C:\.......FCTools\TMP\RG92260.TXT is missing. Please contact your coordinator".

There seems to be a problem with the programme creating the .txt file in the tmp folder although on checking it does contain a .csv file.

I have used this utility before to check a piece and it was fine. I have re-downloaded it from the rootsweb page, but it
still doesn't work. I have tried to re-check an existing file which was checked OK originally, but the same error message appeared. I am running XP professional with Service pack 2.

Can enyone help

I managed to sort this out. The FCTools folder on my hard drive got moved into a subfolder. As soon as I moved it back it was fine. It should be C:\FCTools (or whatever drive is your harddrive.

Thanks Steve,

For some unknown reason it worked last night. So I made my corrections, and tonight it won't work again.

I've tried just coping the work I did today over to the disk I used yeaterday, but still no luck.

Tried three new disks so far.....

I would not know how to move things, I will just have to complete what I can and send the disk to my administrator.
She said to leave the '0' out of the RG No. But that didn't work either. I now have numerous copies and also saved to Documents folder. Don't know what to do.

Thanks anyway. I won't give up. I might just clear the lot and start again.

You're welcome Linda. Sorry I wasn't of much help. Can't understand why it's an intermiitant problem though. You could try downloading & installing the program again.
