Moses McClelland (various spellings: McClellan, McLellin, etc) b. 1793 Russell County, d. c1873, Scott County. Son of Andrew McClelland (1748 NC - 1827 Scott Co.) and Rebecca Robison (Robinson, Roberson, etc).(1735 (VA) - 1829 Obey's Creek, Scott Co.). Moses may have married Delilah Webb (1795 Russell Co - 1830/1840 Scott Co.). This marriage may have taken place in Rusell County, so I don't know if you can find it. I would like to know if any of these folks are buried in Scott County. I don't think Moses married fisrt in Scott Co., but it would be good to know if he was. He may have married Letty (-?-) c. 1833/1840 in Scott County.

Did not find any reference to your names in the Cemetery books, In Marriage book 2 page 22 line 2, Moses & Delilah are the parents of Lutitia McClellen age 43, when she married Mark W. Smith age 50 (wid), of Russell County,Lutitia is of Scott County, they were married March 31, 1866 by James Stallard.No others in the Marriage books,

I am sorry .. I did not find anything about your Seymore/Semore families of Scott County,VA. I checked the Marriages, Cemeteries, the People of Scott County, and the History of Scott County.

I only found Hasting and Susan listed as parents of J.H. Lawson age 52 (wid) when he and Polly A. Lawson age 34, married Feb. 9, 1903, Polly's parents list as Enoch & Lucy, This is in Marriage book # 3 page 46 line 6. another Haston Lawson was born 1870,died 1938, buried in Catron Cemetery, do not know if he is related?, Sorry I could not be of more help to you.

Hi thanks for offering this to us folks.
I am looking for a marriage between a James Lewis and Catherine ?? they are listed on the 1850 census for Scott co. probably married around 1838.

And a Death record for a John D. Head who was born around 1844 in Scott co. va and was alive in 1910. Wife was Sarah Dill at the time he died.
