Thank you for your kind response. Ms. Phyllis Peterson from Oregon has done some extensive work on the Scott County families and has provided me with an excellent spread sheet of Dr. A.R.T. Bell. I have been looking for local commentaries that are more narrative in nature pertaining to his times as a doctor, or being involved with the formation of Shoemaker (spelling?) College. A man of such local prominance would probably have things written about him, especially an obituary from the 1897 time frame. These I have not been able to yet locate. If you come across such a narrative it would be most kind of you to let me know. Thank you.
Regards, Larry
