Does anyone know anything on Samuel Morelock son of William C. Morelock?
Also anything on Charlie Morelock son of Samuel or any of Samuel's children?
Samuel was married to Sarah Jane Martin.

Samuel war borned in Monroe Co. Tennessee, served in the Civil War with his father, William C. and brother Robert. Samuel and Robert stayed in Georgia after the Civil War.

I do feel there is a connection, one I have not found yet. My Grandfathers parents had diffrent names but both Charlies orignate from the same area of TN. Have you found any Cecil's in your line? This to was a big name from the Morelocks in that area.

Yes my father is Cecil Morelock of Chattanooga, Tennessee, his was Charlie Morelock of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Charlie's was Samuel Morelock of Madisonville,Tennessee, and Samuel's was William C. Morelock of Madisonville, Tennessee.
I have read where there are more Cecil Morelocks but I can't find where they are related to our direct line.

O.K. my father Charlie is the son of Cecil Paul, his father was Silas Paul all of Kingsport area of TN. Look around for Morlock without the e. On my fathers birth certificate there is no e in the spelling. And Silas Paul also did not have an e in his spelling.

Do you know anything about the Morelock in Lee County VA? We have found some Cecil, but we can not figure out why they went to that area.

Also Cecil Paul put the name Paul in all of his sons names, I have not looked up the Paul name yet, guess I should and see where that takes me. Please keep in touch, mabey we can find a link and go further back.

No, I don't know why some of the Morelocks went to Virginia, they moved just about everywhere it seems.
Are You related to any Raines in Georgia?

Well, not sure. My husbands direct line is from WVA and we traced them back to Culpeper area 6 to 7 generations before. He has a direct line to John and James Raines from England and they decsend from the Reenes from France. His line was easy!! I have only done his direct line.

I am from Morelock/Hensley on my mothers side and Archer on fathers side.
My grandmother was Roxie Ena Morelock and my grandfather was Henry Marson Hensley. She was from Tennessee and he was from Virginia. They moveed to Calif. 1935 I think. I think my great grandfather was Yancy Morelock. My grandfathers mother was supposed to have been the daughter of a Cherokee chief, but he would not let anyone say he was indian, why? The story was that my greatgreatgrandmother was stolen by a chief and when she had a baby it was placed across the fence in my greatgreatgreatgranfathers property. She was to become my greatgreatgrandmother and my grandfather looked like an indian chief himself, before passing on.
Are we related? haha maybe so.

I am looking for some information on Silas Paul Morlock b Indiana and married to Elizabeth May Mitchell, b Missouri about 1965-1970. One of their children, Cecil started spelling the name with an e. The only other child I know of is Sallie Frances Morlock b 02/03/1894 d 01/1986. Do you have anything on this branch of Morlocks?
