We are trying to find the parents to Cleophas Therrien--he also used Cliffus Terrien. Served in the Civil War-married Rose Lavigne-both were from Canada

I am looking for any information on the Terrien family.
My madien name is Tracey Terrien and am trying to do a family tree and learn more about the famaily.
I know they came from France to British Columbia in the 1900's. I know very little as my parents were divorced when I was very young. do know that he remarried and I have 2 half sister;s and a half brother. If any one can help me pleasee let me know

I found some info. about the terrien side of the family and not to sure if this will help you any. My Grand father Victor Ferdinand Terrien born May 12, 1897 born in Nancy, France. He married Margaret Buchanan Watson date unknown right now, her date of birth was Dec. 16, 1900, born in Mortherwell, England or Edinburgh. They had four children James Maurice Terrien (my father) born Dec. 2, 1932, Birth place Powell River, BC., Canada, date of death Feb 27, 1985. he remarried and had three children 2 girls and a boy. Victor and Margaret had four children.
James Maurice, Victor jr., Heather and Jean.
Hoping to get more information on them. spouses, children ates etc. My uncle Victor is now living in Seattle, Washington and his children. not to sure how many he has two manybe three. Hopefully this can help you out some. Never know. Tracey

Edward James TERRIAN is the actual name of my father who died in 1979. He changed his to Art J. SCHAFER before he married my mother. So I am really related to the TERRIANS. I didn't know about this until later in life not long before he died. I don't know why he had his name changed, but I do know he had at least one child by his first marriage. I don't know the name of his first wife. I have never met any of my relatives on my father's side of the family. My Grandfather's name is Joseph TERRIAN born in Quebec. He was born in 1957 and had 12 children. Six died either at birth or before the age of 6. The following are the names of those who lived to adult:

Zewey C. TERRIAN 1 July 1937
Victor J. TERRIAN 18 March 1899

I also am looking for information about my Terrian ancestors. I recently did some research and have naturalization records for Joseph Terrian, it states that he was born in Quebec in 1857 and immigrated to East Grand Forks, Minnesota. I also have information on Peter Terrian. I'm not sure if these people are related to me yet.
