Searching for the following relatives Joseph Kinnie Vaught born 1885 in Tenn. Jesse Glen Vaught born 1898 in Tenn. Jason G. Vaught born 1892 in Tenn. Does any one know of the men or their final resting place? They lived in Camas county and Custer county I am trying to tie up the family history and would appreciate any information on them or their wives and children. Thanks

Jim, You might try the cemetery in Arco, Idaho, Butte Co., the county joining Custer Co. My brother John Edward Vaught is buried there. He was the grandson of A.C. Vaught
and g-grandson of David, gg-grandson of John H. Vaught of Roan Creek, Tenn. Don't know if more are buried there, but I do know there were some Vaughts in Mackay(Custer Co.).
I lived in Arco for a few years. I may know some people to contact in you're interested.

My grandfather was Donald Vaught. I do not live in Fairfield/Camas County still, but am visiting the area this weekend and will show your inquiries to my mother and grandmother (Donald's wife). She may know something to help you.

My grandmother's uncle was James P. Vaught who lived in Dawson, AL in 1906. I also have a picture of him that states on the back

My grandmother was Effie Williamson from Cherokee County Alabama

I believe you are related to me. My father was Jabin Vaught and is also from Tenn. Wasn't your grandmother Kate. I believe that they lived in Spokane. Your grandfather was my father's brother. I also believe your grandfather Edward worked for the railroad. Correct me please if I am wrong.

My Aunt helen Arnold and my mother Josephine Vaught have all passed as well as Helleens daughter Thetis also passed . I have no members in my family that are alive. My father Jabin passed away October, 1970, My mother Helen passed away May 1990. My sister Rosemary passed away Sepetember 1986 with cancer. Then Elizabeth passed January 1992. My brother Charles passed August 2000 and Dorothy my oldest sister passed away August 2001. So that takes care of everyone in my immediate family. As for my father's side of the family, I have somewhere in my papers at home names for you. I am flying out tomorrow for Rancho Mirage, California and will fly back here to Bellevue, where I live, Sunday evening. So I will try to locate the papers next week and give you more names and history. Does the name Paul Campbell mean anything to you? He was related to us somehow. I know when I took Dad and Jennie back to Elizabethon, Tenn, he came from NC to visit with us. It is so good to finally have someone in the family to talk to about family history.

I was visiting Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, Idaho on Saturday, 24 March 2007 and came across the tombstones of J. Glenn Vaught and Joseph Kinnie Vaught. Attached are pictures of the tombstones.
