looking to see if anyone finds these names at all familiar?

Omran is a name like John which is difficult to locate. Mathia or maybe Matya there is a family in Jerusalem who are (Lateen) which you call Roman Catholic and Halak (we have Christians - Roman Catholic also and Moslems. Need more details to help. Although Halak means a barber which is a profession and we have too many names from many cities have the same names as Halak, Haddad (blacksmith), Najjar (carpenter) ..etc from maybe every city in the area.

the mathias in jerusalem are named hanna and william according to my father.....if that is who you mean. and their father was named joseph as he has passed and the grandfather is hanna also.
that is my father's side...as for my mother...she said she knows a mousa omran from buffalo, new york....she had a cousin named sultane and her son is named mousa and i think his brother is names issa but am not sure....do you recognize any of those names....as for the majority of the omran's...they are now in san francisco...does any of this help as per the information you needed..i hope it does. thanks for your response

My mother's maiden name is Omran. Her father's name was Jamil and her mother was Regina Rabbaa. My mother is the middle child with an older sister named Somaya, then her and her name is Rose/Rosemary, then her younger brother Albert. they were born in Jerusalem but now all three live in Canada. does any of this sound familiar?
