Have you had any success on your search for William's father?
I am beating my head against the same wall. From what I can tell, there were two
Batts in the colonies in 1667, Thomas and William. Thomas was the one that discovered the eastern continental divide with Robert Fallam in 1671. It looks like he married Mary
Rudolph and had 5 children but only one son. His name was also Thomas and was born in 1660 and died in 1691. My records show our ancestor, William, being born in 1691 so it is possible that Thomas is the father of our William.
I have only found one daughter mentioned for Henry
Batts.
If you find out anything, please let me know. I will keep you informed as well.
