I have found no link to
Yonkers in my research although
Yonkers was heavily occupied by Odell's. So was
Rye,
Philips Manor and all of
Putnam Co. Odells were heavily involved in the formation of
Rye and
Yonkers and many of their families have been researched back to the pilgrim father William I who arrived in 1638.
My research shows that my Benjamin II was born in Cold Spring in 1823. The info on his father and grandfather as having come from
Mayville,
Chautauqua Co. should be reliable since its source is a book in the hands of the
Putnam Co. Historical Society. I was also given the names of 9 siblings of Benjamin I and found Gabriel and his wife Mary buried in the
Mayfield cemetary. His birth and death dates match the info I was given. It seems he stayed behind when the family moved to Cold Spring. He was a Hotel owner. As soon as the Historical Society reopens their research department I will attempt to have them copy the book for me which they own in mimeograph form. I'm sure they didn't give me all they could have on the telephone.
In our last correspondance I mentioned the four siblings of
Marina I know of and asked if you had info on the others you mentioned. You neglected to mention this in this posting. Also, did you visit my website (in progress)?

Gene
