GAMBRELL, CLARKE, MOUNT, PRICE
I am researching the family and forbears of Frederick GAMBRELL, Blacksmith, born c1843, died 17th Jan 1917, buried in Milton Earnest Churchyard. Wife Ellen (nee not known) died 19th Feb 1906 aged 64 years, also buried in Milton Earnest Churchyard. Their children were:- Rose (married name Clarke, died shortly after), Kate (married name Price), Florrie (married name Mount), Percy (died aged 22), and Annie (married name Clarke, thought to have married her sister's widower). Fred's forge was on the main road opposite the pub and on the corner leading to the church, about 200 metres away. Up until recently, and possibly still, the house standing on the forge's old site was called "The Forge".

Hello Ray,
I have just discovered your post of the 12 Jan 2001 (yes that's right the one you posted about 11 & a half years ago!) regarding Frederick Gambrell. I would expect that by now you have found the information you were looking for, and possibly a lot more as well. So I won't go into details about him now. But if by chance you are still looking for more info about him and his family, please contact me and I will be pleased to help, if I can. Frederick is my 2nd cousin 3 x removed and I have just recently located quite a bit of info about him & family, including his wife!
