If anyone has any information about the Ferdynus family, please
contact me. The family I'm looking for had an estate in the
Kamionka area. There was a daughter named Irena and a son
named Jozef. Jozef became a school principal, and apparently
married a woman named Luba (?) The marriage did not last for unknown reasons. The grandfather's name was Thomas Vincent
(first and middle names). Jozef was in Germany during WWll.
He emigrated to Canada in 1948 or 1949.

There are many (about 50) KAMIONKA`s in Poland. In Lubelskie Province there are four villages KAMIONKA.

write KAMIONKA in the white frame "Miejscowosc" and click "Pokaz" (or Enter:) and You`ll see three "Kamionka" in Lubelskie Province ("województwo lubelskie", abbrev. "woj.lubelskie"):
- nr 2 on the list: in district Lubartów ("pow. lubartowski")
-nr 20: in district Luków ("pow.lukowski")
-nr 22: in district Opole ("pow.opolski")
-nr 34: in district Chelm ("pow.chelmski")

In 1998y. there were 510 persons which surname was FERDYNUS, 10 persons in Lubelskie Province (województwo lubelskie):

and write FERDYNUS in white frame and click "Szukaj". Abbreviations are explained - click on the blue sentence "Tutaj znajduja sie objasnienia skrotow". There are names of formerly polish provinces, today is the new administrative zoning and new names, but these old are (in my mind:) better if someone want to find something on the polish map.

He lived in Toronto. He had three children: Roland, Thomas and Barbara.
My grandmother's name has Maria.
He had two brothers: Józef and Zenon and one sister Lodzia.
