I am trying to locate the marriage of Isaac SEARL to Deliah DENSMORE, daughter of George DENSMORE of Warsaw, Wyoming Co. NY. They were married abt 1839. I am also trying to identify the parents of Isaac SEARL, who was born in Whitehall, Washington Co. NY 26 May 1814. Any help given greatly appreciated.

I have something close. Issac Searl, Jr b 22 Sept 1820 m Jane Johnson. His father Issac of Whitehall b 1789, d 1860 m Martha Hotchkiss. His parents were Gideon and Hannah Searl.
This is from the History of Cattaraugus Co by Adams. I'm not aware of the Wyoming Co connection.

Thanks Sid: The will of Isaac Searle, Sr. probated in May 1860 mentions Isaac, Jr. and gives him land in New York, unfortunately does not specify if Isaac Jr. is in Wisconsin, it's almost too close to ignore, except for the marriage information and we have that from Wisconsin. Your records don't show any reference to Joseph Searle bn 1812? Glenys

I've reviewed everything I have on SEARLE and I'm of the opinion that your Issac SEARLE who marr Deliah DENSMORE is not the Issac,Jr noted in the will of Issac,Sr probated May 1860. I presume the Joseph SEARLE b 1812 that you mentioned is a sibling of your Issac. If so, I show a Samuel b 1812 as a sibling to Issac,Jr. I have no Joseph in my records.
As you are aware, there were many SEARLS in this general area at that time. I've run into many just outside my small area of interest but I have little concerning those in Wyoming Co.
Of course, anything is possible in this game!
By the way the will does say that Issac,Jr was "of full age residing in Franklinville aforesaid" as were all listed siblings.
It is a good "fit" but I don't think it'll work.

thanks for your note Sid. I noticed I answered you before you even sent it!! Had looked at a previous message from you and thought it was your response. Duh. No, I don't think Isaac, Jr. is the man either. I really have no idea of his connection to Joseph, we assume pretty close, they give the same story about parents and they lived in the same county in Wisconsin for a time. Honestly, you can go crazy doing this can't you?! I do appreciate your checking the Searl/e/s for me - either Joseph was making up his story, or the writer got him mixed up with Isaac. Take care, Glenys

Hi, If you are still out there, I have some questions on your George Densmore, did you ever find anything on him? I have a Densmore family that started out in New Hampshire, then the parents died in Vermont (Abraham Dinsmore/Love Leeman) , but some of the children ended up in New York in this area, my ancestor is an Ephraim Densmore that died in Wyoming, he had a brother named George ( possibly Washington) Densmore that was born aby 12/12/1787.....do you think there is any link???? Sandy
